For more than two decades, Christian Nørgaard has photographed holy men, spiritual communities and extraordinary characters around the world.
In 2027, that experience becomes the foundation of a very special photographic journey through India.
Designed for photographers with a passion for travel, portraiture and culture, this intimate workshop will take a small group deep into the spiritual world of Haridwar’s Ardh Kumbh, the Akharas and the holy men of India-combined with the extraordinary visual and spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi.
This is not about observing India from the outside.
It is about getting closer to the people, rituals and traditions that have shaped one of the world’s oldest living cultures-and using photography to tell their stories with respect, curiosity and a strong personal vision.
The group will be deliberately small, allowing us to work slowly, stay close to our subjects and create meaningful portraits rather than simply record what happens in front of us.
February 2027.
