Better Moments was founded in 2011 by Christian Nørgaard an experienced photographer and veteran of the international professional photography industry. The focus was, and still is, to create exciting photo workshop experiences, enabling our guests to return home with unique and amazing images. These legendary pioneering adventures led to Better Moments becoming known as the Scandinavian founder of photo workshops.
Today, Better Moments has become a leading photo workshop platform, organizing high-end workshops for passionate photo enthusiasts worldwide. Our workshops create unique opportunities for our guests to learn from the world’s best photographers within their fields. You will learn to refine your personal style and sharpen your technical skills in stunning, remote and highly scenic locations. Our mission is to deliver exclusive guided private photo tours and workshops in Landscape, Wildlife, Travel & Portrait photography at unique locations around the world. We want you to explore your passion for photography, get inspired, and learn from and work with some of the world’s most renowned photographers who have excellent teaching skills as well as local knowledge and experience.
CHRISTIAN NØRGAARD, FOUNDER AND CEO
Christian Nørgaard is the founder and CEO of Better Moments.
In the year 2012, Christian came up with the idea for what was at the time a brand new way of combining photography and travel. Fed up with the lacklustre selection available on the market, he created Better Moments, a high-end travel photography company that combined the luxury of a all expenses paid vacation with the tutoring of some of the best photographers in the world.
Today, Better Moments spans more than 25 workshops in over 10 countries and boasts a number of experts with distinct specialties.
Christian himself is no stranger to photography, however, having worked for numerous years as an photographer for international newspapers, magazines and ad agencies.
Additionally, Christian Nørgaard has premiered his own work in various exhibitions as well as curated photo exhibitions for the likes of David Lynch, Dennis Hopper, Steve McCurry (the latter of which he works closely with on workshops to this day), Marco Grob and a careful selection of National Geographic photographers, to name a few.
The aim of Better Moments is to be the prime purveyor of unique destinations that mark the perfect environments to capture breathtaking photography.
His other platform, Photo Exploring, offers guided tours in a variety of different capitals around the world by local, seasoned guides. The core concept is just the same as that of Better Moments, namely to explore and capture unique photography around the world, with the aid of the best possible experts you could ask for.
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS WITH BETTER MOMENTS
A decade of Better Moments is a moment to treasure and something we want to celebrate with you. That’s why we are sharing our 10-year anniversary book with you, looking back at some of the most memorable moments we’ve enjoyed over the years.
2021 marked our 10th year in business and about a hundred trips to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations for photography. We have sold-out workshops ahead of us and are expanding our Photo Exploring concept even further to destinations outside Europe. This book is a celebration of Better Moments’ past and future, and we cannot wait to continue this journey with you and go explore the world with our cameras.
