April News Update – Into the Wild Namibia

I am deeply fascinated by dramatic landscapes and people with strong cultural backgrounds. I have been incredibly lucky and privileged to be able to work in a field that fulfills my fascination.

My private Namibia tribal workshop ‘Into The Wild’ was created based on this fascination – to explore and experience the unique landscapes and tribals in Namibia. I look forward to sharing this meaningful journey with 6 dedicated photo enthusiasts who, just like me, are as passionately inspired.

Take a sneak peek at the ‘Into the Wild Namibia’ workshop

Into the Wild Namibia 9-19 November 2022

Located in the southern continent of Africa, Namibia shares land borders with Zambia and Angola to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Humans have inhabited the area since ancient times and Bantu-speaking tribes began arriving in the 14th century AD. The current population of Namibia is 2.1 million, which is made up of several different tribes.

Into The Wild Namibia workshop will be led by Christian Nørgaard, who will bring you up close and personal with the local tribes like the Himba and The San peoples. This is a rare opportunity to meet indigenous people to gain an insight into their way of life and experience their traditions which are so uniquely different.

Highlights of the Namibia Workshop:

	Learn about portrait photography techniques in the beautifully desolate surroundings of the Namibian wilderness.
	Go hunting together with the San Peoples and spend a day in their village following their daily lives.
	Two days of high-end wildlife photography for shots of lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, cheetah, hyena, mountain and plains zebra, springbok, kudu, gemsbok and eland.
	Learn about star and landscape photography.

Accommodation:


Strand Hotel Swakopmund is a social epicentre surrounded by ocean on three sides.		Stay in the private luxury tents Fiume Bush Camp, an ideal stopover when travelling around the North of Namibia and to meet with the oldest culture called the San People.


Within its private reserve, Mushara Lodge provides visitors with a luxurious base camp to unwind and enjoy excellent service before taking off on a trip into Etosha National Park, just 8km away.		Perched on a hill above the banks of the ephemeral Hoarusib River, Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is a refuge for all who are seeking a break from their hectic urban life.

Meet our Expert

Christian Nørgaard, the founder of Better Moments, is a highly experienced travel and portrait photographer. He has travelled extensively across the African continent, and one of his focus has always been the local tribes. Nørgaard has been to Namibia many times and this workshop is the result of several years´ research and discovery of the country´s graceful beauty within.
